Overview:

Tsavo National Park is located in the southwestern part of Kenya and is made up of Tsavo East National Park & Tsavo West National Park. The two parks are separated by a railway line. The park is known for having quite a number of Lions that were sometime termed as the “Man-Eaters of Tsavo” and other animal species like the large herds of elephants.

Tsavo East:

• This park is considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds
• Vast amounts of diverse wildlife including the big five
• A great variety of bird life such as the crowned crane, black kite and the sacred ibis
• The Yatta Plateau and Lugard falls

Tsavo West:

• Magnificent scenery
• Mzima Springs
• Rich and varied wildlife
• Rhino reserve
• Rock climbing potential and guided walks along the Tsavo River

Itinerary:

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park

Board SGR train leaving Nairobi at 8:20 am. and alight at Voi train station where our driver will be waiting for you.

Drive to Tsavo East National Park for check in and lunch at Voi wildlife lodge or similar with a short rest. Later in the afternoon go for a game drive and return for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park – Tsavo West National Park

Early in the morning you have your breakfast and go for a game drive in the park as you drive out to Tsavo west national park.

Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Rhino Valley Lodge or similar. You will have lunch and a short rest before you go for the afternoon game drive. Return later to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tsavo West National Park – Nairobi 

Early morning game drive in the park and later return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast check out with a short game drive as you drive back to Nairobi. On arrival at Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel/ residence or the airport.
