Overview:
Samburu National Reserve is located in Northern Kenya and is a premier game reserve situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river. It is situated 350 kilometres from Nairobi.
Samburu National Reserve is a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also home to a population of close to 900 Elephants, large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah along with a prolific birdlife.
Our Driver-guide will pick you from your hotel or the airport at 8:00 am, then depart for the semi-arid Samburu Game Reserve. Enroute, you will stop briefly at the Equator Crossing point. Arrive at Samburu in time for lunch, relax after lunch and then take an afternoon game drive from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Return to the lodge by evening.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Game Lodge or similar.
Full day at Samburu including morning and afternoon game drives. Rest of the day at leisure. You may just want to relax by the pool or perhaps book an added activity such as a nature walk, cultural visit within the area or a relaxing massage depending on accommodation booked (extra activities at an additional cost).
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Game Lodge or similar.
Enjoy an early morning game drive, followed by a relaxed breakfast back at the lodge, then departure back to Nairobi by road. You will arrive in Nairobi by early afternoon [typically by 2.30pm]. Drop off at your hotel or free onward transfer to the airport to catch your flight to your next destination
