Overview:
Maasai Mara is one of the most famous and important wildlife conservation and wilderness areas in Africa, world-renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs and African bush elephants.
Maasai Mara also hosts the spectacular Great Migration when over 1 million wildebeests and hundred thousands of zebras cross the Mara River coming from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara in search of water and greener pastures.
Departure from Nairobi to Maasai Mara will be at 7.30 am. We will travel southwards via the Rift Valley view point, admire the escarpment there and then to the little Italian church which is just some few meters ahead, get the history there and proceed to Narok, a small Maasai town which is known for its beautiful curios. We will arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch at Keekorock lodge or Mara Sopa Lodge followed by afternoon game drive in the park, after which we will get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Have your breakfast early in the morning followed by a whole day game drive. A picnic lunch will be served at the Mara river which is at the border of Kenya and Tanzania. If you are travelling between July and September, you will see the spectacular migration of both wildebeests and zebras coming from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara in search of water and greener pastures. Afterwards, we will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
We will start with an early morning game drive followed by late breakfast at the lodge. We will then depart for Nairobi stopping at points of your choice to take photos. The tour ends when we arrive at Nairobi in the afternoon.
